Easter Sunday Service

We enjoyed the pouring rain yesterday afternoon. After such a long dry spell, it indeed brought relief to our dying plants in the garden. I forgot to bring the laundry in before we went out to my grandma's house so when we arrived home, they were drenched. Its OK. For the first time, I didn't mind at all!

It was a quick change of shirt for my husband and feeding for Mia then it was off to our church for our Easter Sunday service.

When it comes to Easter, we tend to think of Easter Eggs as well. Do you know the relevance of Easter Eggs on this occasion? Well, as I learned in church yesterday, the egg is a symbol of "beginning" holding new life within its shell. At Easter, Christians celebrate by giving and receiving of eggs, a symbol of resurrection and new life, and their roundness a symbol of eternal life.

After our service, we enjoyed refreshments with our congregation and were given an egg each. People kept giving us eggs and we ended up with 6 to bring home! Mia was given 1 too and she refused to let go of it.

The Sunday School kids decorated eggs and were given goodie bags. Again, Mia got one too even though she's too young to join Sunday School!

Inside the goody bag. Sorry Mia, you're too young for these. I'll be giving these to her cousins instead. Look at the bag itself, look like Mia now with red rashes on the cheeks!
